English teaching learning at school is
the key to success for students to improve their English. As teacher, we should
be provide motivation from students in order to they not nervous in teaching
learning process. As we know
that mostly Indonesian students have some difficult to improve their skill in
English nevertheless as the demand of this competitive era, we have to be able
to speak, to listen, to write, and to read English. Speaking as one of the
linguistic skill is often perceived to be a task that comes naturally to an
individual. In school based
curriculum, there are some standard competence and basic competence which have
to be reached by students in learning English. Teaching English as foreign
language in Indonesia which is based on competence based syllabus focus on
mastering the four language sklill : Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Speaking is one of part English skill
and the most important skill to communication with other people. And also, speaking is the
productive skill and more complicated than it seems at first and involves more
than just pronouncing words. According (Smith and Anne 2009: 63)
Speaking is most important
skill that should be mastered by students in order to communicate in English
fluently and speaking is producing movements: movements of the rib cage, the
vocal cords, and the mouth. If we want to be a good speaker we should make a habit of
talking and have become part of our daily activities.
When someone speaks, he or she interact and uses the language to express
his or her ideas, feeling and thought. He or she also shares information to
other through communication. Here students must be able to give clear
information to other person or some persons who is or are near with them such
as their friends, their teachers, or the other ones. Of course, they have to
use right expression there.
In learning English, sometimes the students are bored
with certain teaching learning
atmosphere. There are various approaches and techniques used for
teaching language skill. One of them is dialogues conversation technique. Dialogues
conversation technique assumes that students are able to obtain
their oral language since they are motivated to speak confidently and they are
not nervous.
Interactive dialogues technique is a technique used to
teach the second and foreign languages that emphasized interaction as both the
means and the ultimate goal of learning language. This technique required students to make simple dialogues
conversation like as introduction tourism object, hobby, and other
conversations. With this learning a new language is easier and
more enjoyable; it is truly meaningful. By using this technique the researcher
hopes the students’ ability in their speaking skill will be improved.
